Installing / Updating Gantry

For Hybrid, you should install the Hybrid Template (Bundle) package, rt_hybrid_j15-bundle.tar.gz, which includes both the template and Gantry. Use the standalone package if Gantry is already installed. However, in the event of Gantry needing to be installed, see the instructions below:

Overview of the Administrator Interface

The Gantry administrator is a very extensive interface for controlling allow aspects of the Framework, and is split into several parts:

  • Per-Menu Item Configuration
  • Presets
  • Settings
  • Features
  • Layouts
  • Advanced
The best way to discover all the options available, as well as what they do, is to visit the administrator itself at Extensions → Template Manager → rt_hybrid_j15

Requirements

The following are required for the template to operate fully:

  • Joomla 1.5.x (latest version)
  • Gantry v3.0.12 or higher
  • PHP 5.2 or higher
  • RokNavMenu Module

CSS3 Features

Hybrid is a CSS 3 template with graceful degradation. Firefox 3.6+, Safari 5+, Opera 10+, Chrome 3+ and experimentally with IE9, support CSS3.

  • Box Shadows: shadows for blocks
  • Text Shadows: shadows for text items
  • Border Radius: rounded corners for blocks
  • Color Crossfading: color transition on hover
